CS2 Player Props Explained: Kills, Headshots and Map Lines
Counter-Strike 2 props work like other player props: a number is posted for a player's stat, and you compare it with how the player has actually performed. The difference is that matches are played over several maps, so a prop can apply to one map or to the whole series.
What gets posted
- Kills. The most common prop.
- Headshots. Kills made with a headshot.
- Deaths and assists. Less common, but posted for some players.
Map 1, Map 2 or maps combined
A line may cover Map 1, Map 2, or maps combined (the total across the maps played). The same player can have very different lines on each, so compare a line only with the matching sample. ArchivePicks reads hit rates by map and by maps combined.
Reading the hit rate
Check how often the player has cleared the line over recent maps. Because a series can end 2-0 or go to three maps, a "maps combined" number depends on how many maps are played, which is worth keeping in mind.
Things that change a number
- The map itself. Players have strong and weak maps.
- Role. Entry fraggers and AWPers produce different stat lines.
- Opponent and format. A lopsided match can end quickly, leaving fewer rounds to accumulate kills.
See how to read a hit rate for the general method. A hit rate is a record of the past, not a forecast, and ArchivePicks does not take bets or tell you which side to take.
