Privacy Policy
This policy explains what ArchivePicks (archivepicks.com, "we", "us") collects when you use the site, why, and what choices you have. You can browse the site without an account, and most of what follows applies only if you create one or contact us.
Information we collect
- Account information. If you create an account, we collect your email address and a password (handled by our authentication provider; we never see or store your password in readable form). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google.
- Things you save. Picks you save and fantasy roster entries you add are stored against your account so they are there next time you sign in. If you are signed out, they are kept only in your browser.
- Which lines are opened. When you open a player's page, we record which line was opened and when, with no name, account or IP address attached, so the site can show which lines are looked at most this week. Your browser notes locally that you opened it so it is counted once per visit. Lines saved by signed-in users also count toward that list.
- Contact messages. If you use the contact form, we collect the name, email address, subject and message you enter. To stop spam we also record your IP address and browser details (user agent) with the message.
- Automatic information. Like most websites, our servers log requests, including your IP address, the page requested and the time. We use this to keep the site secure, limit abuse (for example rate limiting by IP address) and fix problems.
Cookies and similar technologies
- Sign-in. If you sign in, your session is stored in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in. We do not use cookies for our own tracking.
- Security and performance. Cloudflare provides our content delivery and security, including the CAPTCHA on the contact form and privacy-friendly traffic statistics.
- Advertising. See the next section.
Advertising
We use Google AdSense to show ads to visitors. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to show you ads based on your browsing.
- You can manage or turn off personalised advertising in Google's Ads Settings, or opt out of many third-party advertising cookies at aboutads.info.
- You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
- If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a message asks for your consent before personalised ads or advertising cookies are used, and you can change your choice afterwards with the "Privacy choices" link in the footer of any page that shows ads.
How we use information
- To provide the site and your account, including saved picks and rosters.
- To reply to messages you send us.
- To protect the site from spam, abuse and security problems.
- To show advertising that keeps the site free.
We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We use these service providers, who process information on our behalf only to run the site:
- Supabase: our database and authentication.
- Railway: hosting.
- Cloudflare: content delivery, security, CAPTCHA and traffic statistics.
- Google: sign-in with Google and AdSense advertising.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it or to protect the site and its users from fraud or abuse.
Data we show that is not personal
The statistics, odds and prices on the site come from sports data and betting-market sources and are not about you. Player photos are fetched through our own servers, so your browser does not contact the photo provider directly.
How long we keep information
We keep account information and saved data for as long as your account exists. We keep contact messages for as long as we need them to respond and handle follow-ups. Server logs are kept for a limited time for security and troubleshooting.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, including your account and everything saved to it. Depending on where you live (for example the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or California) you may have additional rights, such as objecting to certain processing. To make a request, use the contact form and tell us what you would like; we may need to confirm it is you before we act on it.
Children
ArchivePicks is intended for adults. Because the site discusses sports betting, it is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect information, including encrypted connections and restricted access to our database. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed, and significant changes will be noted on the site.
